Description
Celebrate Independence Day on beautiful Sullivan’s Island with a full day of patriotic fun, family activities, live music, and fireworks as the community honors America’s 250th Birthday.
The festivities begin in the morning with the beloved Golf Cart & Bike Parade, where decorated golf carts and bicycles travel down Middle Street before ending at Sullivan’s Island Elementary School. Families can enjoy Kona Ice, a visit from the Sullivan’s Island Fire Department, children’s water activities, and awards for the best-decorated entries.
The celebration continues that evening at Stith Park, where guests are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy live music from the Shem Creek Boogie Band before a spectacular fireworks display lights up the island sky shortly after 9:00 PM.
Whether you’re a longtime resident or visiting for the holiday weekend, this annual celebration offers a perfect mix of hometown tradition and coastal charm.
