Fireworks & Freedom Festival 2026 – Summerville’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration
Celebrate Independence Day in Summerville, South Carolina, at the annual Fireworks & Freedom Festival on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Gahagan Park. This family-friendly Fourth of July event features live music, local food trucks, community vendors, children’s activities, and one of the area’s most anticipated fireworks displays.
Each year, thousands of residents and visitors gather to enjoy an evening of patriotic fun before the night concludes with a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the Summerville sky.

Parking Information
Parking at Gahagan Park is extremely limited.
Handicapped parking will be available in the front lot off W. Boundary Street. Additional event parking is available in the open field behind the Gahagan Park playground, accessible from W. Boundary Street.
Parking is not permitted along Butler Street or W. Boundary Street. Attendees are encouraged to carpool or utilize the complimentary shuttle service.
Free Shuttle Service
Shuttles will operate continuously between Downtown Summerville and Gahagan Park from 5:30 PM until 11:00 PM.
The shuttle pickup and drop-off location will be near the First Citizens Bank parking lot (200 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC). Guests may park in the downtown parking garage or other available downtown parking areas and ride the shuttle directly to the festival.
