Beer, brats, and oompah bands: what's not to love? Summerville's Oktoberfest typically happens in early October in downtown Summerville. It's a newer addition to the fall lineup, but it's already become a local favorite. Pro tip: Bring cash for the vendors and come hungry.

These are perfect for younger kids: cars are decorated, candy is handed out, and it's a safe, well-lit alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. Fall Movie Nights
Keep an eye out for outdoor movie screenings at Azalea Park. The town occasionally hosts family-friendly fall films under the stars: think Hocus Pocus, Coco, or It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Bring blankets, snacks, and bug spray.
Farmers Market Fall Vendors
The Summerville Farmers Market keeps going strong through fall, and this is when the seasonal vendors really shine. Expect mums, pumpkins, fall decor, apple cider, and all kinds of handmade goodies. The market runs on Saturdays downtown, and it's a great way to support local farmers and artisans.
Make It Yours
Here's the thing about fall in Summerville: there's no wrong way to do it. Maybe you're all about the festivals and big events. Maybe you'd rather spend a quiet Saturday at a pumpkin patch with your family. Or maybe you just want to grab a pumpkin spice latte (we won't judge) and stroll downtown while the weather's perfect.
Whatever your vibe, this season has something for you. And if you know about an event we missed, or if your business is hosting something awesome this fall, submit it to our events calendar. We want to help spread the word so everyone can make the most of this beautiful season.
Welcome to fall in Flowertown. Grab your flannel, charge your phone (you're going to need it for all those pumpkin patch photos), and get out there. 🍂🎃
