Geocaching at Ashley River Park

Join Dorchester County Parks and Recreation for a hands-on geocaching adventure at Ashley River Park in Summerville. This family-friendly outdoor program introduces participants to the basics of geocaching, a real-world treasure hunting activity that uses GPS-enabled devices or smartphone apps to locate hidden containers, known as geocaches.
Participants will learn how to navigate using the official Geocaching app, interpret location clues, and search for hidden caches throughout the park’s trail system. This interactive experience encourages teamwork, outdoor exploration, and problem-solving while connecting participants to the natural environment at one of Dorchester County’s premier regional parks.
Geocaching is suitable for beginners of all ages and provides a fun introduction to nature-based recreation in the Summerville area.
